Southern Exposure operates once a year and is match funded by Film London. Increasingly popular as a filmmaker-friendly fund, it offers a structured training programme along with grants of up to £4000 per film. Its aim is to nurture original voices and encourage excellence in storytelling across all genres and media including animation and documentaries. For more information please visit the Funding page.

Its junior counterpart, Southern Exposure PG, is a production and promotion course for young people in Lewisham and Southwark. Not only are the young people tutored in filmmaking techniques, they also learn the importance of their audience by designing posters, flyers, a website and 'Behind the Scenes' documentaries. Projects are run on a rolling basis throughout the year in conjunction with Positive Activities for Young People and Universal Pictures.
